Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates from a beautiful sandstone building dating back to the 1830’s. Classified by the National Trust, “Rockend” is where A.B.’Banjo’ Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.
Situated within 6 acres of parkland the restaurant is surrounded by landscaped gardens, making it ideal for garden ceremonies. The adjoining car park has room for over 50 cars. The restaurant’s old-world charm is highlighted by several open fireplaces and the views from our 2 spacious, fully enclosed verandahs are stunning. With a kitchen and cellar that have resulted in Banjo Paterson Cottage receiving numerous awards, your food and beverage requirements will be more than adequately satisfied.

Surrounded by 5 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens overlooking the Parramatta River, Banjo Paterson’s is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The fully air-conditioned restaurant offers several private dining rooms, ideal for wedding parties.
Immediately below the cottage is a substantial private jetty, suitable for all types of boats also allowing access to water taxis , a lovely way for the bride and groom or guests to arrive or depart.
The Restaurant’s primary function is a la carte dining, however the restaurant is available for functions any day of the week.
